Billing Representative

Overall Job Summary
The primary role of a Reimbursement Services Billing Representative is working in the accounts receivable operations for the BioTel Heart division and is responsible for charge entry
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
* Perform the billing function as defined below with direct supervision:
* Entering demographic and charge information to bill claims to payors
* Verify insurance eligibility via online portals
* Follow up with practices/patients via phone or fax for missing information
* Submit payer questions as needed
* Identify and bring reoccurring issues to the attention of leadership
* Follow internal processes as well as meet or exceed monthly quality and productivity standards
* Adhere to Reimbursement Standards and Expectations
Education and Experience Requirements
* Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Bachelor's degree (preferred).
* Relevant Work Experience: No experience required. On-site training provided.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Knowledge/Abilities -Technical Skills: Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word. Intermediate knowledge of emailing systems. Intermediate Computer skills such as typing, navigating internet and/or multiple windows, computerized note taking and processing in multiple internal systems.
* Communication Skills (Verbal/Written): Intermediate verbal communication with internal/external partners. Intermediate written communication via fax or email with internal/external partners.
* Customer Service:
o WECARE - BioTelemetry based customer centric program
o Proven customer service skills for internal/external partners for discussion, problem solving and follow up
* Other: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, positive attitude, accountable, ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, punctual, takes initiative to complete assigned tasks, ability to multi-task
