Job Description:

Position Summary

Responsible for handling natural gas nominations, confirmations, scheduling, and allocations. Manages daily imbalances with producers, shippers and pipelines in accordance with contractual and system compliance. Ensures Volume Control daily and monthly deadlines are met. Maintains strong internal and external customer relations based on honest and timely communication and transactions.

This position requires comprehensive knowledge within a functional area. Work is performed under general direction and is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives and to ensure compliance with processes, standards and policies of the organization. Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult and complex problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practical, and consistent with the objective of the organization. May train and mentor less experienced professionals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

* Nominate, confirm and schedule receipt and delivery volumes in applicable transaction systems and the interconnect pipelines meeting daily cycle deadlines.
* Maintain strong customer relationships and provide prompt courteous service to customer inquiries.
* Responsible for nomination system setup for new meters, contracts, and allocations, and provide guidance on moderately complex setup scenarios.
* Nominate equity purchase gas within the internal system and collaborate with marketing to ensure imbalance risk is minimized.
* Manage setup for shippers and operators in the Customer Activities website in compliance with website agreement terms.
* Assist customers with login and password expirations in the Customer Activities website.
* Serve as a member of the Accounting Close team, with comprehensive understanding of the close process. Perform all or part of close duties under tight deadlines and keep team apprised of progress.
* Comprehensive knowledge of internal nomination systems and functionality.
* General knowledge of pipeline operations.
* Initiate cash-out letter agreements for terminated contracts or special circumstances.
* Prepare and post notices for customer website.
* Manage moderately complex Offload Interconnects including critical analysis and reports for contractual / volumetric obligations.
* Negotiate volumetric balancing with producers, interconnecting pipelines, and plant operators according to terms of contract or Operational Balancing Agreement (OBA).
* Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to coordinate pipeline maintenance, outages, weather events and ensure nominations are in alignment.
* Partner with IT on system enhancements/upgrades.
* Prepare test cases and perform testing on system projects or system issues.
* Provide information for internal and external audits, including FERC and SOX.
* Review and process Prior Period adjustments.
* Assigned to special projects and process teams.

Minimum Education & Experience

* Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field. In lieu of a degree, six (6) years' directly related experience will be considered.
* Five (5) years' scheduling or equivalent experience in oil & gas/energy industry.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

* Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of pipeline EBBs and cycle times.
* Comprehensive knowledge of contractual types of service, contract terms and obligations and pipeline tariffs.
* Ability to identify and understand risk components related to imbalances and mitigation strategies.
* Ability to work successfully in a team-based environment.
* Strong analytical skills; ability to recognize, analyze and solve complex problems.
* Ability to perform moderately complex analysis and reconciliations.
* Ability to provide accurate and timely information under strict time constraints.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to establish and maintain constructive and positive working relationships with internal clients and external customers.
* Ability to prioritize and schedule tasks, respond well to changing priorities, pay attention to detail and demonstrate quality time management and organizational skills.
* Ability to effectively handle pressures and demands of deadlines and competing priorities.
* Strong skills in computer applications, databases and reporting software (Microsoft Office suite).
* Demonstrate commitment to compliance with applicable laws and regulations, company's ethics code of conduct and other company policies and procedures.
* Respect and follow safety policies and regulations; scan the environment for objects or people who may pose a safety risk; encourage others to utilize safe and healthy work practices.
* Ability to consistently demonstrate positive interpersonal skills and active listening when communicating with internal and external stakeholders.

Physical Requirements

* Sedentary to light work exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
* Ability to view computer screen, sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch for extended periods.
* Ability to operate a computer, copy machine, fax machine, calculator, telephone and other miscellaneous office equipment.

Working Conditions

- Ability to produce quality work in fast paced environment with high daily pressure to meet deadlines.

- Ability to work remotely from home and work non-standard hours, including on-call, weekends, and holidays, as required to meet established deadlines.

- Ability to work indoors, in an office environment, regardless of whether cubicle, open office or private office.

- Ability to access Company's computer systems remotely from home or other office locations.

- Ability to travel to work or field locations, attend meetings or training including overnight stays as required.

- Subject to normal office noise levels.
