* You'll lead an exceptional group of seven engineers working with a wide array of technologies to drive our Order Management, Merchant Processing, Customer Notification, and Fulfillment systems which are core to the success of our business.

Role and Responsibilities (What You'll Do)
* Leverage your technical expertise to constantly raise the bar and ensure your team delivers extraordinary results - focusing on creating value, continuous improvement and collaboration
* Partner with engineers, product and project managers to define the team's vision, strategy and roadmap
* Strive to thoroughly understand customer, business and user needs, and provide effective solutions to meet those needs
* Dive deep into tech, driving architecture, design, and best practices via hands-on contributions to the code and coaching
* Build real and effective partnerships between your teams and others throughout the company
* Maintain excellent software development processes including Agile best practices and proactive triage, backlog grooming, estimation, sprint planning, and retrospectives
* Hire, coach, enable, and retain an exceptional group of engineers
Professional Qualifications (What You Have)
* You have a minimum of 4 years of hands-on software development experience
* You have a minimum of 2 years of management and leadership experience
* You have led high performing engineering teams before, including both onshore and offshore
* You love developing and growing people and have demonstrated the ability to do so
* You communicate clearly and effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
* You care deeply about customers, architecture, design and quality
* You know many of these technologies and are eager to learn the rest quickly - Java, Spring, Hibernate, Groovy / Grails, AWS (EC2, Fargate, SNS/SQS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, ELB/ALB, etc.), messaging frameworks such as ActiveMQ, event-driven architecture, Oracle - PL/SQL, high-volume transactional systems, caching strategies, Elasticsearch, CI/CD tools / process, monitoring tools such as New Relic, ksh
* You have previous experience delivering products in an Agile environment (Scrum / Kanban)
* B.S. in Computer Science (or equivalent degree or work experience)
