ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Establish plant objectives in alignment with corporate strategies and business initiatives.
- Improve processes and operational enhancements while maintaining quality standards.
- Continuously monitor quality, cost, and on-time delivery key performance indicators.
- Oversee production, quality, maintenance, safety, and shipping to ensure products are manufactured safely and efficiently with attention to on time delivering high quality products to our customers.
- Collaborate with HR, Operational Directors and Vice Presidents to determine solutions for staffing compatibility, quality and cost-reduction initiatives through detailed analysis utilizing lean manufacturing and Six Sigma efforts.
- Invests time on 'Gemba' conducting observations for the identification and removal of waste in the process, taking into consideration operator safety, material handling and machine uptime.
- Ensure that quarterly performance indicators are driven through the Company and that associates are given the proper training, empowerment, and the tools to meet Company performance expectations.
- Assist in overseeing engineering projects through effective planning, execution and project management.
- Apply modern manufacturing techniques such Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing to continuously improve performance and reach world class level of execution.
- Provide leadership to ensure that safety and company policies are adhered to consistently and effectively.
- Coach Managers and Supervisors to provide quality, timely and consistent performance management reviews as well as support ongoing performance recognition and as disciplinary action as needed.
- Oversee Plant projects as well as plant communications to Corporate.
- Other duties as required.

- Bachelor's degree preferably in Engineering, Business Management, Production Operations or related field of study.
- 10 year plus plant manufacturing experience including plant management experience
- Experience with lean manufacturing processes and best practices in safety
- Strong understanding of manufacturing cost controls, inventory management, maintenance, HR practices, quality function, and manufacturing best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, team building, organizational and oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a hands-on environment and work well independently.
