What you will do:
This role is responsible for managing all aspects of our United States and Canada employee benefits, including overall benefit strategy, associated communications, projects and events. This role also manages coordinating and partnering with internal groups, external vendors and consultants to ensure our programs are run effectively and efficiently.

This role reports to the Director of Global Benefits and will work to continually improve offerings for our employees. Currently our benefits include health and welfare, income protection, time off and leaves of absence, financial/retirement plans, well-being, and other benefits on a global basis. Benefits administration and technology is outsourced to a national provider.

Responsibilities:
- Review, modify and execute the benefit and wellbeing strategy through the sharing and development of innovative ideas to improve the overall impact of our benefit programs including the employee experience.
- Develop and maintain benefits communications throughout the year, and annually for the United States and Canada open enrollment.
- Act as point of contact to resolve operational problems, escalations, claims and appeals.
- Experience with defined contribution retirement plans
- Support HR Operations by working with Procurement, Finance, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable to ensure financial management of program premiums and fees.
- Ensure compliance of benefits plans and programs. In the United States, this includes all federal, state and local laws and regulations, including ERISA, HIPAA, ADA, IRS, DOL, HCR, and local regulations, etc.
- Ensure government reporting requirements are met, including 5500 filings, SPDs, SMMs, SARs, etc.
- Support the participation in benefit surveys and benchmarking activities.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (HR, Business Administration, Finance or related area, preferred)
- At least 8 years of relevant Benefits experience
- Must always be able to maintain discretion and confidentiality
