This person will support a specified geographic region and/or other regions as assigned. The service area for this role will be covering the Rocky Mountain Region: Idaho, Wyoming, eastern/southern Montana, North and South Dakota, Nebraska, far western Minnesota and Iowa, Colorado, and far northern New Mexico. Additional support in other regions as needed. Must reside within approved geographical location to best meet customer needs within the service area, preferably within the Denver metro area.

Job Summary:

The AV Installation Technician supports a positive customer experience by performing basic Field Operation duties of audio-visual based integration systems within an operating room environment to include physical placement of equipment, installation, termination and interconnection of all cables, basic downloading and configuration of software; and of all functions per test documentation as required. May occasionally acts as a senior/lead technician on low-level projects. Always exhibits professionalism by following SOPs and work instructions, documenting quality standards, reporting system anomalies, and utilizing technology to complete administrative requirements. Supports a specified geographic region and/or other regions as assigned.:

Responsibilities:

- Must be able to maintain productive working relationships and treat fellow employees with respect.

- Work with and/or lead team of 1-2 technicians to perform installation of operating room integration deliverables to include cable handling, cable terminations, rack and field terminations, and equipment mounting.

- Based upon the needs of the business, may be called upon to work independently to perform service-related activities including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, repair and complete quality documentation.

- Utilizes technology (iPhone, computer, and related software and applications) to perform administrative duties as assigned to ensure effective planning, utilization, and required document completion. This includes, but is not limited to: being responsible for following established schedules set forth by senior level technicians, Project Manager and/or Manager of Field Operations; communicating effectively with internal and external Customers; performing base level troubleshooting of equipment, gaining proficiency in KARL STORZ technologies; and maintaining responsibility for personal tools and keeping tool kit up to date.

- Responsible for achieving customer satisfaction in the Field Operations process by meeting established deadlines as well as quality and efficiency standards per SOPs.

- Responsible for maintaining up to date hospital credentialing portfolio. Follows hospital protocol and KARL STORZ standards of professional conduct when working with customers, management, and fellow employees. Utilize customer protocols when entering and exiting facilities and abide by all KARL STORZ protocols and procedures.

- Responsible for managing travel and equipment expenses in a cost-effective manner.

- Assigned tasks relating to job site work are maintained in an organized and clean manner.

- Execute tasks as assigned by senior level Technician or management.

- Attends technical update classes in the field, or in Stafford, TX, as scheduled.

- Performs other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.

- Assist on low level projects and service activities such as, but not limited to, cable replacements/repairs, Boom Rooms and OR1 Minis and OR1 Mini NEOs.

- May be asked to assist with warranty calls, field upgrade programs.

- Assist in training of other field ops personnel regarding a routine tasks and/or basic systems training.

Documentation and Paperwork

- Gathering and ensuring timesheets are submitted on time to project managers.

- May be required to complete and submit daily project status reports and deliver/communicate status reports with project management daily or in a frequency agreed upon by the project team.

- Document project changes and communicate back to MFO/PM, provide all documents at close of a project.

- Complete daily installation reports and IQC (Installation Quality Checklist) and/or SQC (Service Quality Checklist)

- Utilize the Canvas mobile app and SAP to complete required project and service documents.

Lead and/or Project Management Support | Based on the needs of the assigned region may perform in the lead role on installation projects and participate in project management support activities.

- Proven ability to task and lead team of 1-2 technicians on a project team

- Ensures that technicians complete installation activities according to SOPs - KSIS22 and KSIS27

- Communicates with Manager of Field Operations / Project Manager on all project related issues

- May participate in pre-install conference and post-installation conferences

- May be responsible for equipment inventory on project site and return inventory authorizations

- Accountable for ensuring that task including rack assembly, equipment placement and equipment mounting are to be performed in accordance with facility drawings- generic or site specific.

- Demonstrates a working knowledge of construction processes and ability to interface with different trades

- May be asked on occasion to attend, remotely or in person, project meetings, review installation documentation (schematics, specifications, local codes, material takeoffs, etc.), and interface with customers and hospital staff.

- Ability to recognize a problem/potential problem within high stress environment and report to leadership

Requirements:

- Minimum 2+ years Audio Visual experience

- Three years of electro-mechanical installation or commercial audio-visual integration installation experience, residential audio-visual experience may be substituted is preferred.
