Description
The Security Specialist will brief, process, and schedule requests for polygraphs, clearances, debriefs and background investigations. Create and maintain the polygraph examination scheduling process, maintain metrics of appointments and 'no shows.' Provide customer service liaison with all levels of customers to include the Client and external customer base. Provide telephone and written status checks, including checks of internal and external personnel security databases. Provide service excellence in listening, understanding and providing security response, guidance and resolution to the customer's questions and inquiries.
The Security Specialist duties include, but not limited to, the following:
- Provide service excellence in listening, understanding, and providing security response, guidance and resolution to the customer's questions and inquiries.
- Recommend to the customer proper classification/protection of national security data.
- Brief, process, and schedule external requests for polygraphs, clearances, debriefs, and background investigations.
- Create and maintain the polygraph examination scheduling process, maintain metrics of appointments and 'no shows'.
- Provide customer liaison with all levels of customers to include the Client and external customer base.
- Provide telephone and written status checks, including checks of internal and external personnel security databases.
- Familiar with personnel security databases (e.g., DCII, JPAS, and Scattered Castles).
- Prepare monthly reports that contain polygraph metrics

- Bachelor's degree in relevant degree preferred or equivalent experience within field. Must have at least 3+ years experience within the field.
