Bostik is hiring in Conyers, GA! We are looking for a Maintenance Mechanic on 3rd shift with experience maintaining industrial production equipment for our Conyers facility.
The Maintenance Mechanic will maintain equipment and report issues to management as needed and complete assigned tasks.

JOB DUTIES

The position is responsible for all Production Equipment, Supporting Systems and Infrastructure maintenance activities including, but not limited to:
- Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM)
- Troubleshooting of production equipment, utilities, and facilities, which employ mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic trouble-shooting skills and repair.
- Strong manufacturing background with demonstrated mechanical aptitude and process troubleshooting skills required.
- Ability to work independently.
- Performing/assisting with all major and minor electrical repairs including:
- 480V 3-phase motor repairs/installation
- Motor starter circuit repairs
- VFD drives
- Photo-optic sensing devices
- Proximity switches
- E-Stop circuitry, and ground fault detection in accordance to the guidelines established by Bostik's \\"Electrical Safety Program\\"
- Utilize precision measuring tools/devices, hand tools and testing instruments (Amp meter, Ohmmeter, testing lamp, megger, etc.) for electrical equipment.
- Inspect and test electrical equipment, lighting, signal, communication, and power circuits. Isolate defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment.
- Replace faulty switches, sockets, and other hardware related devices.
- Service or replace faulty transformers, service on/off LOTO switches and breakers.
- Ensure electrical work conforms to OEM requirements as well as all regulatory/safety and code compliance.
- Excellent knowledge of Arc flash policy guidelines
- PLC experience w/working knowledge of Allen Bradley and/or Siemens preferred.
- Mechanical Duties will be conducted thorough knowledge of mechanical devices, advanced skills in repairing mechanical equipment based on Best Practices to include:
- Examine mechanical equipment to diagnose problems.
- Disassemble, repair/replace and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment including such devices as motors, conveyors, pumps, belts, chains, etc.
- Read mechanical prints and technical data during the installation and repair of equipment. Read and interpret PI&D drawings Repair parts that require minor machine work or welding when needed.
- Use precision measuring tools/devices, hand tools, and testing instruments.


REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma (or equivalent) required
- Qualified candidates' require either a 2-year Industrial Electrical degree or equivalent 5-7 years demonstrated skills/experience in the Mechanical/Electrical maintenance field with strong electrical/mechanical knowledge of industrial systems and automated technologies.
- High degree of mechanical ability and aptitude with proven ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs on electro-mechanical equipment.
- Able to operate forklift and high-lift equipment, welding experience desired.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively with little to no supervision.
- Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned.

- Must be able to work THIRD shift (9:00PM - 5:00AM) five days per week. Some, infrequent, weekend work is required..
