As a Senior Tax Accountant in IDEXX's Global Tax department, you will participate in domestic and international compliance and accounting activities in accordance with the appropriate accounting and legal standards. You will monitor and ensure timely tax compliance and you will partner with finance leaders and provide tax support to assigned lines of business, products and functions.

In support of the CDC and the American Veterinary Medical Association's statements that healthcare and veterinary practices are essential businesses that should remain open during the COVID-19 crisis, our laboratory, manufacturing, and support teams continue to operate to provide the critical tests and products customers need to diagnose and treat their patients. What can you expect?
- You will serve a key role in U.S. federal and state income tax compliance processes as well as support international tax compliance processes.
- You will support domestic provision processes including income tax accounting, tax account reconciliations and SEC filings.
- You will research methods and present proposals to lessen tax liability through the use of laws and regulations.
- You will work cross-functionally with treasury, legal and local finance teams to monitor and ensure cross border compliance.
- You will play a key role in income tax audit defense, engage in complex tax planning initiatives and maintain knowledge of all applicable tax laws and regulations.
- You will interact daily with teams based outside of the US.

What do you need to succeed?
- You're a self-starter with strong attention to detail and are successful working independently.
- You have the ability to communicate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals.
- Your skillset includes strong computer skills, with proven experience in Excel.
- You are highly analytical and can interpret, analyze and apply new tax laws.
- You have earned a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
