HSE Specialist at Vallourec

Job Description:

DUTIES:



  • Preparing, identifying, scheduling, maintain recordkeeping and conduct training for company safety training program. This includes new hire training.

  • Track, monitor and involvement with audit findings and internal corrective actions.

  • Fully and actively participate in the corporate HSE policies to promote a safe work environment for all employees.

  • Ensures facility is meeting environmental compliance regulations (i.e RCRA, Air, SPCC, SWPPP).

  • Maintain SDS Logs and placement at required locations.

  • Coordinate removal of oils and hazardous materials from the Vallourec Tube-Alloy locations.

  • Maintain environmental and safety forms and reports generated by outside services.

  • Maintain and submit annual reports for government agencies. (i.e. OSHA 300 log, TRI and TIER II).

  • Leads or assists with Risk Assessment initiatives, including risk reduction methods for hazardous activities.

  • Arrange for the care of injured employees and involvement with restricted duty development.

  • Lead/support with internal incident investigations and corrective actions.

  • Leads or supports CIT’s (Continuous Improvement Teams) related to Risk Assessment, Hands Free and Feedback.

  • Conducts facility inspections to identify deficiencies as they relate to safety, health and environmental compliance.

  • Involvement with HSE Steering Committees at the site levels.

  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelors Degree (industry related) with 5 years experience in HSE; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


SPECIAL SKILLS:


Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before individuals or groups of customers, vendors, licensors, or employees of organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to create and interpret bar graphs and/or customer related diagrams.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Inventory software; Order processing systems and Manufacturing software or equivalent combination. Database Administration.
