Reports to the Manager of Volunteer Services. Completes Screening Questionnaire on all approved patients and visitors entering through the main entrance or the Decio Pavillion entrance of the hospital. Directs patients to appropriate locations, and works with House Supervisor to direct approved visitors to appropriate locations. Reviews any patient belongings and/or gifts brought to the hospital, and works with House Supervisor and receiving department's Charge RN to accept or deny.

Education and Experience
The knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated below are acquired through the successful completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge & Skills
Demonstrates ability to read, legibly print or write, and understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
Demonstrates communication and interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with patients, visitors and co-workers and to maintain positive working relationships.
Requires the ability to work independently, take initiative and be self-motivated.
Working Conditions
Works within a quick-paced environment to screen all incoming patients and visitors using verbal and written communication, as well as attain temperature scans using an oral or temporal thermometer. Maintains a donned mask and gloves throughout shift to reduce exposure to bio-hazards.
Physical Demands
Requires the physical ability and stamina (i.e. to walk/stand for prolonged periods of time, push carts/wheelchairs up to 50 pounds) to perform the essential functions of the position.
