JOB DESCRIPTION:

SUMMARY

Responsible for purchasing MRO items for manufacturing plant

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Place orders via the phone and Internet for MRO items

* Assist the production lines with establishing and updating pull signals to reflect production requirements

* Coordinate with cross-functional team on material requirements

* Collect and organize receipts for all purchases and assign allocations to each

* Process material returns back to suppliers

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

* Excellent phone communication

* Ability to organize and complete variable volumes of work in a timely manner

* Ability to prioritize workflow to best serve the plant

* Ability to apply Lean supply chain concepts, for example: pull replenishment system (kanban)

* Must be detail oriented, have good communication, negotiation and problem solving skills.

* PC Skills, Word, Excel.

* 2 3 years MRO buying experience

EDUCATION

* High School Diploma

LANGUAGE SKILLS

* Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
