Area Driver Trainer - Southeast

Responsibilities

* Coordinate and facilitate training sessions on a monthly basis to train new and existing class A commercial drivers emphasizing safety, policy, and procedures through classroom and hands on instruction

* Deliver Train the Trainer program at least twice per year to certify Zone Driver Trainers in instruction techniques and content delivery

* Assist in the development of effective training material for all drivers within their area

* Assist Zone Driver Trainers in area with remedial or specialized training

* Assist Zones in area with training during periods of excess work, trainer absences, and as needed

* Support training of new managers and supervisors on technical knowledge and compliance

* Implement, support, and assist in development of training plan directed by Driver Training Program Lead

* Stay abreast of relevant federal, state and local regulations and company policies that pertain to fleet safety and the transportation of hazardous materials

* Support and provide training and education needs within organization that require expertise in transportation, product handling and hazardous materials

* Be a visible leader at all times while in the field

* Drive CSA and incident improvement

Qualifications

Required Education

* High School Diploma

* Mnimum 10 years of extensive professional driving experience in transportation and industrial gas industry
* Minimum 6 years of industrial gas or equivalent industry experience

* Minimum 2 years of training experience
