Maintenance Mechanic - San Leandro, California
Full-Time, First Shift, Temporary-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $30.19/hr.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9am - 1pm (some Saturdays and overtime)

San Francisco Bay Packaging in San Leandro is a corrugated packaging facility that manufactures standard corrugated containers, as well as many specialty packaging products. A Day In The Life Typically Includes.
Helping meet or exceed production, waste, and quality goals through a quality maintenance program
Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems and repairing and maintaining all equipment in accordance with plant policies and procedures
Installing and repairing chains, sprockets, gears, belts, and couplings
Installing and repairing hydraulic & pneumatic hoses, lines, fittings, valves and pumps
Reading and interpreting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics
Using micrometers, calipers, tachometers, and dial indicators for precision measuring
Calibrating process instruments
Utilizing a CMMS, a computer-based inventory and work order system
Minimum Qualifications: What You Will Need*
High School Diploma or GED
At least two (2) years of industrial maintenance experience or industrial military experience
Experience troubleshooting bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes and conveyors
Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Willing and able to work any shift; holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed
Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day
Experience in mechanical fabrication and repair
Willing and able to work on elevated surfaces (climbing ladders and working on lifts regularly)
Preferred Qualifications: What Will Put You Ahead*
Experience working in the corrugated packaging industry
Experience working with 480-volt motors
Experience reading technical drawings and schematics
Salary and benefits commensurate with experience.
