JOB OPPORTUNITY:

DIRECTOR OF FOOD AND NUTRITION SERVICES, TIMPANOGOS REGIONAL HOSPITAL

THE DIRECTOR OF FOOD AND NUTRITION SERVICES directs activities of the Dietary Department, providing quality food service, nutritional care and a clean safe environment for the patient population, visitors, guests and hospital staff. Administers, plans and directs activities of department. Establishes policies and procedures, and provides administrative direction of menu formulation, food preparation and service, purchasing, sanitation standards, safety practices, and personnel utilization. Selects staff, and directs departmental education programs. Coordinates interdepartmental professional activities, and acts as resource person to staff and management on matters pertaining to dietetics issues. Participates in performance improvement activities and ensures competence of all staff members.

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

* Highly developed organizational skills.

* Required to obtain Food Handler's permit and to keep it current.

* Bachelor's Degree preferred.

* One to two years of management experience.

SKILLS:

* Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing

* Additional languages preferred.

* Basic computer knowledge.
