SR. PROJECT MANAGER: SUSTAINABILITY & REGULATORY AFFAIRS - CHEMICAL MGMT OFFICE
Key Responsibilities:
* Review supplier submitted material disclosures for regulatory compliance to TSCA Import/Export regulation, Homeland Security, COMPANY Engineering Standards.
* Identity any potential issues and escalate to Principle Engineer for confirmation.
* Review Safety Data Sheets and Hazard Labels on products for compliance to OSHA regulations.
* Facilitate a self-audit survey with approximately 750 suppliers:
* Issue requests for self-audit completion and answer suppliers' questions.
* Analyze results and create feedback sheets to direct suppliers on how to improve their process.
* Follow up with late respondents and escalate as needed to get a response.
* Maintain detailed database of contact with suppliers and regularly report status to CMO management.
Qualifications / Candidate Profile:
* Bachelors or Associate degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or related field.
* Ability to quickly learn and utilize IT systems and programs. Will be using SAP, MS Office.
* Highly accurate, well-organized and meticulous with documentation. Will be checking regulatory compliance, handling confidential information, and communicating with many suppliers on various topics simultaneously.
* Good written and verbal communication skills. Able to be assertive yet respectful and professional.
* Experience tracking multiple project statuses in databases.
* Skilled with Microsoft Office Software, especially manipulating data in Excel ex: creating pivot table, charts, writing formulas, etc.
Bonus if you have:
* Experience working with EPA and OSHA regulations, especially SDS and TSCA import requirements.
Top Three Criteria for Candidate:
* Independent but willing to seek and accept guidance and support when needed. This candidate will be onboarded and need to work remotely for (at least) the first 6~8 months of this assignment, so primary management guidance will be through online meetings.
* Detail oriented, will be confirming compliance to federal regulations. Need to be able to process complex information and make judgements based on details.
* Effective communicator. Will be interfacing with suppliers by phone and email daily.
