Job Purpose:
The Packaging Technician packs and inspects the final product based on customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
Pack products with manual, automated or semi-automated packaging lines
Perform visual inspection of end products based on company standards
Follow all safety procedures to keep a clean area in our active, fast-paced, team environment
Communicate openly with coaches and teammates in a positive manner
Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned and contribute to improvements
Position Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent reading, writing, basic math, and critical thinking skills
Must be 18 years or older
Demonstrate time management skills
Ability to perform in a team without a coach
Must be able to operate the proper equipment related to the job in your work area
Must have a reliable means of transportation
Must be able to read and understand English
Preferred: Previous experience working in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods and lift/carry up to 30 pounds
Must be able to use fingers, hands and arms for regular tasks
Must be able to wear proper PPE and perform in temperatures ranging from 60̊ to 110̊ Fahrenheit
Must be able to climb steps, have good hand-eye coordination, and bend/squat
Must be able to visually detect defects, depth, colors, variances, and see objects as real
Laugh at jokes and bring an energetic smile every day
