The job tasks listed below outline the scope of the position. The application of these tasks may vary, based upon current and evolving business needs.
Business Deliverables, Coordination and Communication
Lead a team of advanced analytics professionals to effectively and efficiently deliver on-time quality commercial analytics projects, while balancing competing priorities of different parts of the US business
Oversee and guide the team on the advanced analytics methods being used to answer business questions
Innovate in new data sources and ways to analyze data to improve the business
Lead the development and establishment of best practices and standards in advanced analytics methodologies for marketing applications
Align with US commercial leaders on priorities and issues resolutions
Coordinate resource allocation and tracking for internal and outsourced projects
Accountable for flexible resource acquisition, capacity planning activities and tracking
Document contributions and value for the analytical work being done
Participate in strategy development and future state visioning
Manage analytics/data vendor relationships and deliverables
Be fully engaged with business teams, bringing an objective voice to the table, and facilitating decisions grounded in data
Build a strong network of analytics stakeholders throughout the US business
Share best practices of US commercial analytics methodologies with other OUS affiliates
People Leadership
Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and retain new team members
Accountable for overall performance of direct reports
Be an effective coach to the team members on their work performance and on their future career goals
Be an inspirational leader of other technical/analytics staff
Responsible for providing leadership, technical guidance, developmental support, and career planning for staff
Basic Qualifications
MS or PhD in Statistics, Econometrics, Operations Research, Mathematics or other advanced analytics degree program
5+ years of experience leading advanced analytics efforts

Additional Skills/Preferences
Deep and broad knowledge of many areas of advanced analytics (e.g. statistical modeling, machine learning, data mining, experimental design) applied to business/commercial problems
Excellent Interpersonal communication skills for effective customer consultation
Teamwork and leadership skills
Strong learning agility
Self-management skills with a focus on results for timely and accurate completion of competing deliverables
Demonstrated problem solving ability and strategic thinking as well as driving implementation of initiatives that lead to fulfillment of the strategic plan
Ability to understand complex business problems and reduce them to mathematical/statistical questions/hypotheses that can be answered through analytics
Understanding of analytic tools (SAS, JMP, R etc.) and awareness of emerging tools and technologies for analytics
Insatiable curiosity for understanding existing information sources, uncovering new ones, and developing and improving on analysis approaches
Positive and professional approach
Ability to prioritize across multiple projects and demands from Business Units and Geographies
