The Service Operations Change Manager is responsible for supporting, applying and implementing the Cigna Change Management discipline into projects and change initiatives. By focusing on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, and organizational change, this person will lead the change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and minimize resistance.
Principal Responsibilities:
Develop and manage Change Management strategies and plans, using proven Change Management methodologies and related tools
Lead efforts to drive faster adoption, utilization and proficiency of changes that impact employees within Service Operations with a focus on increasing benefit realization, return on investment, and achievement of results and outcomes
Work closely with key business leaders and stakeholders to understand implications of change across multiple business units
Drive engagement, awareness and preparedness for change through a robust stakeholder engagement strategy
Align and collaborate with project delivery team members to develop and manage work plans for Change Management related activities
Design, develop and implement a multi-level, two way communication strategy for Change programs and initiatives
Partner with Communications experts within Change Management and Corporate Communications to deliver on an integrated communication strategy for organizational change programs and initiatives
Develop strong, credible relationships with operational leaders and stakeholders
Collaborate with readiness and sustainment partners (e.g. Training, Knowledge Management, Coaching, Quality, Process) to ensure a cohesive approach to talent readiness
Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and oral, communicate effectively with senior management, process owners, stakeholders, and other audiences through various communication methods
Model effective change management skills, activities and behaviors during all work efforts
Work with project managers to integrate change management deliverables and milestones into project plans, where applicable
Execute on change management deliverables and providing regular updates on status & effectiveness through various operational levels and forums
Work collaboratively across project team members and matrix partners to identify risks, mitigation strategies and to develop action plans to resolve issues and cross-team impacts
Job Qualifications & Requirements
2 or more years of organizational change management or applicable experience required
Experience and broad knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and best practices; Certification in the Prosci® model (or another equivalent Change Management certification) is a plus
Bachelor's degree required - or equivalent business experience
Experience supporting change management initiatives in a medium to large scale business environment
Project Management certifications (e.g. PMP, CAPM) a plus
An understanding of how people and organizations go through change and the change process
Proven ability to successfully drive and sustain organizational change
Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
Exception communication skills - both written and verbal
Strong, demonstrated presentation skills, including both development and delivery of content
Ability to engage, influence and communication effectively through multiple levels of the organizational structure
Demonstrated ability dealing with ambiguity when driving a change management strategy, while also acting with urgency
Ability to adapt style and approach to different projects and programs
Proven ability to develop strong working relationships and establish credibility across organizational levels
Build & Maintain a positive working relationship with teammates and matrix partners
Continually strive to improve their own skills and competencies by demonstrating initiative to participate in ongoing coaching and training programs
Self-directed and capable of leading a team of professionals, as a cross organizational and cross discipline team leader, to drive sustainable change
Demonstrated ability to drive results required
