Job Description:

Completes accurate and timely quality reviews of CLUO department work, including the largest and most complex work, that also spans Risk Services, and including adherence to service level agreements, quality standards and related rules, policies, procedures, guidelines and jurisdictional requirements. This role is the subject matter expert and will have the ability to assist in developing custom audits and questionnaires and to assist across CLUO quality assurance as needed.

Salary Range: $83k-95k

Essential Functions (primary functions and/or reasons the job exists in order of importance)

1. Provides quality assurance support to the business units by completing accurate and timely quality assurance reviews, including adherence to CLUO policies, procedures, SLAs, guidelines and jurisdictional requirements. Effectively communicates and promotes the QA file review process to ensure full support and understanding. Utilizes quality assurance software to capture file review findings. Collaborates with CLUO leadership to develop customized quality assurance questionnaires and reviews to provide deep insight.

2. Leverages expertise and understanding of CLUO focus areas to gather, organize, and analyze relevant data and results to identify and report performance, trends, and opportunities; makes recommendations regarding areas of improvement. Creates timely and accurate reports; communicates results with leadership, teams, individuals, and business partners as appropriate.

3. Mentors and works closely with team members on QA approach to optimize impact and alignment. Develops, leads and participates in regular calibration sessions with peers and other experts across the organization to ensure consistency in the file review process and continuous improvement in quality across Commercial Lines Underwriting Operations (CLUO) and the underwriting system.

4. Maintains effective and ongoing communication with assigned CLUO staff, internal and external business partners, team members, leadership, and vendors. Effectively collaborates with all stakeholders. Develops and maintains deep relationships with stakeholders across the organization to effectively share information and collaborate.

5. Ensures customer service excellence. Provides excellent service to assigned teams, individuals, stakeholders, leaders, and project teams.

6. May serve as a subject matter expert to business partners for various projects or perform ad-hoc work, including mini-review events for various sub-groups/project teams within CLUO or across the company. Participates in line of business meetings, staff meetings, CLUO planning meetings and other department meetings to support insight and meaningful action.

Desired Qualifications/Experience/Certification/Education (in order of importance)

1. 10 or more years of P&C insurance industry experience.

2. 7 or more years of experience in relevant commercial underwriting and/or Risk Services technical area.

3. 3 years of audit experience and/or experience with policies, processes, & procedures

4. Experience influencing change or analyzing and recommending process improvements.

5. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

6. Experience multi-tasking and prioritizing previous work assignments to ensure deadlines are met.

7. Experience working on and planning projects.

8. Experience being flexible in changing priorities and balancing multiple assignments.

9. Experience maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.

10. Ability to work remotely or in a team setting as need dictates.

11. Holds an industry designation.

12. Bachelor's Degree or commensurate experience.

13. Valid driver's license and driving record that conforms to company standards.

- Ability to travel as required.
