This position is full time, 40 hours per week; will work a non-traditional schedule (i.e., weeknights and weekends). This is a hybrid work environment and will consist of working remotely and/or at headquarters' office location.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Coaching & Mentoring 50%

- Develop, plan, and implement one-on-one training, modeling, and assisting on a variety of HS Birth to Five requirements and topics that the provider must meet. This includes supporting provider utilization of training materials, role modeling and supporting including building provider skills within the provider's childcare program to meet the contract requirements.

- Implement the practice based coaching (PBC) model with assigned providers, including the use of effective reflective supervision practices.

- Support providers with the implementation of Creative Curriculum infant toddlers and two and FCC edition. curriculum and support with ensuring curriculum fidelity.

- Support providers within the learning environment in order to create an atmosphere that promotes and reinforces family engagement and program governance.

- Support providers in the implementation of school readiness goals.

- Conduct ongoing health and safety inspections and develop plans with assigned providers to address any health and safety concerns.

Compliance 30%

- Support providers in meeting HS Federal and State program requirements. Which includes helping providers sign up for their CDA, connecting them with their local college or a professional growth advisor to acquired their teacher permit.

- Collect data needed to ensure continuous program improvement.

- Work collaboratively with providers, families, program staff and community partners to strengthen the overall services provided within the HS Birth to Five program.

- Implement record keeping and reporting practices which includes ongoing documentation and entry of required data entered into ChildPlus, vertical change, Learning Genie, child and provider files that will support with reporting the progress and effectiveness of the program and providers.

- Monitor and provide support to providers in collaboration with assigned Family Advocate and CEA to monitor individual child attendance.

Enrollment 10%

- In order to maintain full enrollment, participate in recruitment activities; assist with the promotion of HS Birth to Five services within the San Fernando and Antelope Valley service areas.

- Recruit and screen new providers to participate in the program.

Establish & Maintain Relationships 10%

- Collaborate and establish effective communication with all service areas to ensure that comprehensive program services are being provided and implemented within the HS Birth to Five on a consistent basis.

- Participate in Multidisciplinary Team Meetings, prepare and present applicable cases, attend staff trainings, CCRC HS/EHS events and other meetings as assigned.

- Remain current on program requirements and practices/developments in the field of early care and education.

Non-Essential Duties And Responsibilities

These duties include tasks that are required, but currently comprise of less than 5% of the daily workflow for this job:

- Represent the program and agency at outreach events in the community, including community fairs, conferences, workshops, visits, program meetings and events.

- Transport families in agency vehicle to community service agencies for professional assistance, when necessary.

- Participate in the annual HS/EHS Self-Assessment of HS/EHS program.

- Participate in Parent Committee meetings.

- Attend/participate in professional development trainings, and/or certifications.

- Produce reports after every concluded visit, observes for trends and patterns and submits aggregated reports for caseload to the CCP Supervisor on a monthly basis.

- Ability to honor social, cultural, and ethnic diversity of clients.

- Perform other duties, as assigned.

Job Specifications

Minimum Required

- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education or related field, including a minimum of 24 semester units in Child Development or Early Childhood Education required. Six units in infant/toddler development coursework required.

- Experience: Three years of teaching experience in a lead role with children ages 0-5 required. Experience working with family child care providers or child care center staff. Knowledge and skills in reflective practice. Experience with developing, organizing, planning and conducting training on early childhood related topics relevant to child care providers. Knowledge of California Department of Education's Desired Results Developmental Profile System, Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework, the California Infant/Toddler and Preschool Learning Foundations, the California Infant/Toddler and Preschool Curriculum Frameworks,

- Professional/Technical Certifications: Hold current Child Development Teaching permit(s) OR is willing to be trained and certified in related certifications (i.e., CLASS, Creative Curriculum Fidelity, Practice Base Coaching Model, etc.). will be trained within 3 months.

- Technical Requirements:

- Technical Requirements - intermediate level using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Zoom.

- Bilingual Required: Ability to converse, write and translate in English and Spanish

- Strong interpersonal skills; the ability to honor confidentiality, and work sensitively and supportively with clients.

- Travel: Current auto insurance, current California Driver's License and DMV clearance required.

- Work Schedule: This position is full time, 40 hours per week; will regularly work a non-traditional schedule (i.e., weeknights and weekends).

- Work environment— This is a hybrid work environment and consist of working remotely and/or at headquarters' office location.

- Background & Health Clearance Requirements: Head Start / CCP

- Criminal Records (e.g. Live Scan Fingerprinting), Child Abuse Index Check, Sexual Offender Registry, Health and Tuberculosis (TB) test clearances required.

Preferred

All minimum requirements above met, plus:

- Education: Master's Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education or related field.

- Experience: Five years of teaching experience with children ages 0-5. Experience working with family child care providers and child care center staff as a mentor providing reflective practices utilizing the strength base approach. Head Start Experience.

- Professional/Technical Certifications: CLASS certified and knows creative curriculum and Learning genie, implemented Practice Base Coaching model.

- Technical Requirements - In addition to above (list specifics):

- Expert Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Childplus, Learning Genie, ASQ online
