POSITION SUMMARY

This role has been created to support the US Petcare Organization. The role will directly enable the development of the Next Generation Sales Engine (NGSE), an advanced-analytics enabled enhancement of the go-to-market sales strategy. The candidate will design, prototype, build, and implement production-grade code to support the deployment, automation, and use of Machine Learning-based tools to realize the value of Data Science and Advanced Analytics for the Sales and Marketing Organizations. The role will involve frequent interaction with key stakeholders across the sales and marketing organizations,and provide the candidate with an exceptionally broad view of every aspect of Zoetis business, while serving as critical support for the US Petcare division.

To be successful, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a thirst for knowledge and natural curiosity to enable rapid learning of the Zoetis business model, NGSE s DS-based tools and their users needs to support a growing $2b region. The position involves working with end-users and brand new tools, requiring a candidate who is comfortable thinking independently about solving business problems. Candidates must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, have the ability to work with limited supervision, and must be comfortable in an environment of changing priorities. Candidates should have a strong business acumen, with evidence of delivered business value, preferably in a commercial setting.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

* Design, prototype, build, and implement production-grade code to deploy machine learning models into production

* Design, prototype, build, and implement automation and features to enhance use of ML-based tools

* Maintain and troubleshoot existing codebase of ML-based tools

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

* Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field

* 2+ years of professional software development experience

* Demonstrated experience working with Data Scientists and Data Engineers, experience deploying ML-based tools in a production environment a strong advantage

* Experience working in teams using Agile development methods and tools

* Experience building and deploying code into production

* Strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity and business acumen; demonstrated ability to connect business priorities and drive commercial impact with work output

* Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical ideas to a non-technical audience

* Fluency in English required

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

* Strong development capability and experience in Python and PySpark

* Experience in large-scale/distributed computing and analytics (Spark)

* Experience with Azure cloud stack (including Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Data Factory)

* Experience with relational and noSQL databases

* Experience with visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, d3.js) preferred

* Experience with Salesforce Lightning integration preferred

* Experience with mobile languages and frameworks (e.g. React) preferred

PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

* Position is based in Parsippany, NJ

* Travel requirement: Approximately 5%
