Primary Location: 3405 McLemore Drive, Pensacola, FL, USA Division: Cox Communications Inc Job Level: Manager/Senior Manager Travel: Yes, 50 % of the Time Schedule: Full-time Shift: Day Job Requisition Number: 207376 The Manager, Outside Direct and Home Security Sales provides tactical leadership to a direct sales force and Home Security Professional Security Consultant team to ensure goals and metrics are achieved through strategic planning, review, process development and implementation. This role motivates and develops team members through proven and innovative techniques to exceed revenue growth and profit objectives by maximizing sales to residential customers.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions

Creates and develops a strong sales culture through effective leadership and vision.
Selects, manages and develops high performance sales teams that sell across all Cox product lines. Ensures appropriate staffing and labor mix.
Monitors and analyzes sales performance, and takes accountability for driving improvements in sales revenue growth, sales productivity, sales quality and optimization of customer satisfaction.
Drives alignment, consistency, and cohesiveness in people practices, direct sales activities and overall performance management to achieve personal and department goals.
Develops team members to promote career pathing and succession planning.
Conducts on job training through field ride-alongs, presentation reviews, etc. to support and improve performance and capabilities of Direct Sales Representatives and Professional Security Consultants.
Analyzes competitive market trends, coordinates and communicates with other departments to determine appropriate response.
Ensures overall financial and non-financial performance goals are met or exceeded and departmental headcount is optimized.
Organizes and plans day to day strategies of sales team to ensure maximum productivity.
Develops and provides performance feedback to direct reports in order to achieve all sales goals and promote individual and team development.
Conducts performance reviews for all direct reports.
Partners with the Product & Acquisition Marketing teams providing input into advertising and point of sales collateral materials to facilitate team s sales efforts.
Establishes and leverages strong business alliances with key internal and external partners to maximize channel effectiveness.
Communicates customer concerns, sales opportunities, implementations, and related issues within the sales team, across the local system, and across systems. Recommends and coordinates implementation of solutions with various CCI and Cox Home Security organizations.
Effectively resolves complex customer complaints concerning all areas of the company in a win-win fashion by building rapport and using creative problem-solving skills.
Communicates all current and upcoming sales and marketing plans/strategy to sales team.
Supports effectively communicate and executes on new initiatives.
Provides critical leadership to insure proper communication and workflow among sales team and internal business partners.
Consistently reviews and develops department goals based off company budget and direction as announced.
Manages internal and external resources to meet or exceed customer and/or business expectations including but not limited to staffing and workload allocation.
Assists in tactical and strategic business planning.
Participates in the development of annual operating budgets and re-forecasts as necessary.
Participates in setting sales goals (quotas plus key objectives) and other defined sales metrics, based on corporate/regional sales goals for assigned market.
Develops and implements processes to improve efficiencies.
Monitors and ensures compliance with all company policies.
Create or modify reports as needed.
May develop and manage sales contests and/or incentives.
Conducts meetings with direct reports as needed, attends and participates in company meetings as required.
Remains current on all Cox product information.
Participates in building and maintaining relationships with developers, realtors, insurance agents, contractors, builders in subdivisions to promote Cox s products and services including Cox Home Security.
Creates and participates in opportunities to serve as a public representative and image builder of Cox and Cox Home Security in the local community in order to network, and develop and maintain Cox s presence. Qualifications: Minimum

7+ years of experience required in related field (i.e. Marketing, Sales, Sales Operations, etc.); 5+ years of experience required if candidate possesses a related advanced degree.
Requires strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and proficient with technical applications.
Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization

Preferred

BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired (i.e. Marketing, Business, etc.).
2+ years of experience in a management role preferred.
Experience in telecommunications or home security industry desired.
Technical Certification in related discipline strongly desired.
