Responsibilities

Timernlimited position for a funded project involving the California Parkinson srnDisease Registry. Will assist in recordrnabstraction, data entry, usability testing and other assigned tasks under thernprimary direction of the Project Manager and Principal Investigator. Perform medical record abstraction for Validation of cases of Parkinson srndisease that are candidates to be reported to the California Parkinson srnDisease Registry, conduct usability testing in association with the ElectronicrnHealth Record Training Team and with Physicians, Patients, and Care Partners,rnand associated data entry and administrative tasks.

This is a 15-month, part-time limited position, may convert to career.Qualifications

B.S. or B.A. or progress toward such a degree in a health-sciences related field.
Working knowledge of neurologic disorders, preferably of Parkinson s disease from clinical and patient perspectives as well as experience with the CareConnect, the UCLA Electronic Health Record and the California Parkinson s Disease Registry
Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and administrative skills including ability to manage multiple tasks with meticulous attention to detail
Skills in setting priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of the job and ability to complete work in a timely manner with changes in workload, assignments, or deadlines
Ability to establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with the research team; collaborating with researchers, physicians, patient advocates, project manager, research coordinators, and other personnel.
Must be able to establish rapport with both physicians, patients and care partners for engagement with usability testing
Must be aware of and maintain patient data privacy and confidentiality at all times
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, other MS office applications
Demonstrated knowledge of desktop computers and applications
Ability to read and transmit written and verbal information legibly and accurately in English
