We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst within our Abbott Rapid Diagnostics business located at Lake Forest, IL. In this role, you will ensure the Infectious Disease Developed Markets business unit (ID-DM) leadership has accurate and timely financial data to support decision making. This opportunity with Abbotts Rapid Diagnostics Division (RDx) ID_DM finance team is for a result driven and well-organized individual with strong analytical, communication, financial systems, and Excel skills. This role reports to the RDx IDD FP&A Manager and will primarily be responsible for various RLBE/Planning and month-end activities, as well as driving alignment between the commercial teams and supply chain/operations for COVID-specific products.
RESPONSIBILITIES

* Liase between Division HQ, the ID-DM regional Finance teams, as well as supply chain and operations.

* Support and consolidate the ID-DM P&L (COVID & Non-COVID), COVID-specific cost centers, and forecasting processes. Prepare management reporting, analysis of Sales and P&L trends and comparisons vs. benchmarks (comparisons to Plan, LBE, and Prior Year), identify key drivers as part of variance analytics.

* Work with management in regional and HQ Finance teams, other ID-DM funtions, as well as supporting groups in other divisions, specifically as it relates to COVID products, to evaluate strategic programs and priorities.

* Identify opportunities and highlight risks associated with the achievement of targets and metrics.

* Collaborate with RDx Business Unit Finance, and Local/Entity Finance teams on Monthly and Quarterly Financial Planning and Reporting requirements.

* Perform ad-hoc analyses based on needs of Finance leadership and RDx management, evaluate overall business unit performance and items such as new initiatives and cost savings opportunities. Assist with preparation of management PowerPoint presentations.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelors in Accounting/Finance, Business, or Economics.

* Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced work environment with frequent deadlines, ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.

* Previous experience working with large amounts of data and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Solid accounting knowledge and strong technical systems skills such as SAP and Hyperion preferred.

* Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of internal clients. Flexible and well-organized with a strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

* Reasoning - Ability to solve problems with complex variables through non-standardized solutions that require independent judgment and analysis. Ability to draw inferences and use deductive reasoning with no prescribed procedures to solve complex problems.

* Robust analytical and problem-solving skills and the capability to conduct complex data analysis.

* Minimal to no travel required.
