Job Summary:
Responsibilities include the day to day operational management of the buying staff who: Process electronic requisitions to purchase orders, manual requisitions to capital purchase orders, reconcile vendor confirmations to purchase orders, and work with financial planning to reconcile invoices to purchase orders. The management of staff materiels management information systems: daily management of "Lawson Software", hand held devices used in central supply and receiving, item master file, and the management of GHX our electronic purchase order connection with vendors. Engage in all facets of departmental personnel processes to include: interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating staff. Participate in product conversions by working with respective nursing departments, vendors, and the materiels management established conversion process.
Education/Licensure/Certifications:
Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Five years experience working in a medium - large hospital/health system in a Materiel's Management Leadership role preferred
Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP) - preferred
Lean/Process improvement, process mapping and Six Sigma experience / green belt - preferred
Position requires fluency in English language to function in job environment appropriately
Must exhibit desire to exemplify the BSA culture, including the BSA Way, Mission and Vision
Good interpersonal skills
Good organizational and follow through skills
Ability to multi-task constantly and tolerate interruptions
