Job Description:

Hillcrest Hospital Pryor is seeking a full-time HVAC Mechanic. This is a day position and will rotate on-call status.

Essential Functions -

* Assist in and conduct the required daily operations, repair and maintenance of buildings' HVAC systems

* Supervise HVAC staff, assign and monitor maintenance projects

* Perform and supervise preventive maintenance duties including changing filters, oiling motors, inspecting/adjusting belts, replacing motor bearings, aligning shafts and annual inspections as specified by manufacturers

* Recommend improvements for the preventive maintenance program on an on-going basis

* Develop and maintain effective building specific maintenance procedures

* Coordinate maintenance efforts with outside contractors and technicians

* Maintain stock inventory control

* Respond immediately to emergency situations (fire, evacuation, equipment failure, etc.) and customer concerns

* Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and company directives as related to building operations and practice safe work habits

* Minimum of five years demonstrated experience in a mechanical maintenance environment. (Healthcare preferred.)

Education/Certification

* High school diploma or GED

* Certified as a Universal Technician for CFC's

* Must possess a HVAC Mechanical trade licence

* Possess and maintain a valid driver license and good driving record with periodic checks

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* Proficient in complete building operations including Building Automation and/or Emergency Management Controls

* Ability to effectively present information to coworkers and/or management on a one-on-one basis

* Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations

* Intermediate analytical and quantitative skills

* Proficient in computer skills; familiar with Emergency Management Systems (EMS) programming and fire alarm systems

* Decision making skills with advanced understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines

* Responsible for setting own project deadlines
