POSITION SUMMARY:

Zoetis, the world leader in animal health, is in the process of vastly expanding its portfolio of connected Diagnostics solutions for our veterinary customers and delivering Digital Products that address our customers connectivity needs and provide meaningful data analytics insights to multiple stakeholders.

For a new team within Diagnostic Connectivity Engineering, we are seeking a senior developer to continue the development of diagnostic inter-connectivity software within our Diagnostic Ecosystem. The Ecosystem consists of Zoetis-supplied point-of-care diagnostic analyzer and controller devices located in veterinary clinics, centralized reference laboratories, Zoetis s cloud backend, 3rd party practice management systems (PIMS), and the interconnections among the above components.

In this role, you will work end-to-end in definition, architecting, developing and testing interconnect software across the Diagnostic Ecosystem. In the process, you will work very closely with the Product Management, Technical Business Analyst and Verification teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Design, develop, test, and deliver cloud-based application software for Diagnostics products, with focus on delivering a connected diagnostic solutions and analytic insights to customers

* Maximize the (re)use of existing platform software, in particular Microsoft Azure PaaS services and the Azure IoT platform, to ensure speed-to-market and focus of solution delivery

* Design and specify solutions that address the product requirements provided by Product Management team

* Conduct design reviews with the Product Management team to demonstrate how the requirement are being met with solution design and specifications

* Engage closely with the Data and Data Platform Engineering teams to deliver solutions that effectively leverage the Data and Analytics Platform and the assets deployed on that platform

* Assist the cloud infrastructure team with provisioning, configuration, and deployment activities on the Azure platform

* Participate in solution design and architecture definition process, working closely with other engineers and software architects

* Stay current in relation to novel technologies and techniques, with focus on new Azure services; identify opportunities to apply them for the new and existing solutions

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

* Strong coding skills in JavaScript and TypeScript

* Ability to specify the software solutions in UML models, particularly the class diagrams

* Passion for solving complex problems and making a difference

* Ability to drive a project and work both independently and in a team

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, which includes the ability to present complex topics to non-technical audiences

* Strong aptitude for learning new technologies

* The ability to collaborate with a diverse group of people

* Highly motivated and self-starting individual

* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and work with cross-functional teams while thriving in a fast-paced growing company

EDUCATION:

* Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related technology field

EXPERIENCE:

* 8+ years of experience in a closely related field and role

* Deep experience in a range of database systems, from traditional RDBMS/SQL to NoSQL and other scalable databases technologies

* Experience with Node.js and React.js

* Experience with MS Azure Cloud, Azure IoT platform in particular

* Experience with DevOps, pipelines, Agile and CI/CD.

* Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as a code) such as Terraform is strongly desired.

* Experience with defining secure REST APIs
