The UC Davis Health Comprehensive Cancer Center (UCDH CCC) supports coordinated, multidisciplinary, compassionate oncology care focused on state-of-art treatment and supportive services for patients. The Supportive Oncology and Survivorship Services department seeks to develop, grow and sustain seamless care programs focused on integrating 1) clinical oncology care, 2) supportive oncology care, and 3) research focused on special populations such as Adolescent and Young Adults (AYA, age 15 yo to 39 yo) and/or a Women's Cancer Care Program (WCCP). Supportive Oncology Services seeks to enhance patient satisfaction for those who receive care at the UCDH CCC by creating comprehensive, person-centered pathways through cancer care.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Supportive Oncology Services Manager (Ambulatory Care Administration Manager 1) is to develop, implement, and coordinate Supportive Oncology and Survivorship Programs throughout the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center (CCC). The Manager will oversee Social Workers, Nurse Navigators, Palliative Care RNs, Dietitians, Community Education Specialists, and Project Policy Analyst, to provide supportive care services to the CCC patients. In addition, the Manager will assist with facilitating research and scholarship in the areas of supportive care and psychosocial oncology, while ensuring the Commission on Cancer accreditation requirements are met. Other responsibilities will include financial management, operations management, human resources management, and, as needed, donor relations, and marketing for the Supportive Oncology and Survivorship Programs.

Required Qualifications

* Demonstrated 3 years in Supportive Care and Survivorship Programs with at least 2 years in a progressively responsible leadership position.

* Master's Degree in Nursing, Health Care Administration, Public Health, Social Work or similar field and/or equivalent education/training.

* Supervisory experience and leadership skills to lead, mentor, motivate, train, resolve conflict and evaluate staff.

* Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, implementing and evaluating new programs to include developing evaluation metrics.

* Organizational and time management skills to prioritize workload and meet deadlines of both clinical and administrative tasks. Develop and properly execute project assignments in an efficient and timely manner, and to provide accurate and succinct documentation of activities.

* Experience using analytical skills to research and interpret data and policy, contribute to solutions, forecast the impact of potential actions, develop logical conclusions and/or recommend solutions.

* Knowledge of Supportive Oncology/Survivorship programs, and relevant partnerships.

* Must have knowledge of the University s personnel and labor policies and financial systems.

* Experience coordinating large volumes of work; managing detailed projects with conflicting priorities and competing deadlines; and establishing goals and workload priorities.

* In-depth knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements as defined by the law, University, FDA or State entities.

Preferred Qualifications

* Clinical experience or experience as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

* Knowledge of the University s clinical and research processes, contracts and grants, etc.

* Knowledge of the IRB process to include approvals and renewals, informed consent and the protection of participant data.

* Previous experience in writing and submitting NIH and/or foundation grant applications.

* Experience in developing, cultivating maintaining relationships with diverse communities.

* Active memberships in pertinent national/international professional organizations in psycho-oncology to promote our programs and services and to form collaborative relationships with other colleagues in the field.

Special Requirements
