POSITION PROFILE

The Senior Director, Talent Development will design, enhance and execute strategy to retain and develop talent in alignment with the talent philosophy to help Jazz achieve becoming a premier global innovative biopharmaceutical company. Incumbent will develop and implement enterprise wide talent development programs, practices, processes and systems. Lastly, and just as important, a critical responsibility of this role is to lead our efforts to ensure Jazz is cultivating its mission, values, and priority to be a great place to work.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

* Areas of responsibility will include learning strategy, career development, leadership and management capability building, succession planning, performance management and serves as an internal consultant on the strategy and execution of those areas of expertise.

* Continually develops and facilitates new and innovative formal and informal learning opportunities to encourage continued growth (via diverse learning methodologies appropriate to the program purpose and design).

* Lead the creation and implementation of a career path framework and related programs that support Jazzician development and retention and differentiates the company as an employer of choice

* Ensure talent and development programs and curriculum are aligned with and support the talent management strategy, HR Priorities and Jazz culture and changing business objectives

* Lead performance management strategy and process. Evaluate, shape and refine approach to align with talent strategy. Manage ongoing process that drives company outcomes, increases performance, develops talent and enhances engagement

* Engage with the HR Business Partnership team to create innovative development solutions (development planning, internal movement, etc) and implement processes that supports Jazz s growth, engages Jazzicians, and develops talent

* Conduct needs analysis studies, analyze performance reviews and development plans and confer with managers and supervisors to determine learning needs based on projected competencies, organizational changes, and other external factors

* Demonstrated ability to construct and lead programs without a playbook and build from the ground up versus simply maintaining will be critical.

* Manages talent development budget to maximize impact

* Develop testing and evaluation for all programs to ensure desired impact is achieved

* Create process and tools for talent segmentation (i.e., 9 box) and drive execution through HRBP s

* Support Succession planning with thought leadership, tools and resources

* Strong HR fundamentals

REQUIRED/PREFERRED EDUCATION AND LICENSES

* Experience in broad-based Talent Development

* 15+ years of experience within HR or consulting specific to Talent Development

* Exposure to various aspects of global Talent Development program design and execution

* Certification in any of the change management and/or personality assessment tools

* Masters preferred; BS or equivalent experience considered

* People leadership experience required

* Experience in pharmaceutical or biotech space is strongly desired.

* Minimum of 10 years of experience in progressively responsible leadership in a dynamic and/or complex global environment.

* Experience in growth and scaling would be highly beneficial.
