Job Description:
Production Support Technician
The purpose of these positions is to support the day to day activities to receive, manufacture and ship materials at the Fowlerville facility. The entry level position will be directed on a day to day basis by the production Team Leader of the shift they are assigned to.
Qualifications:
Minimum requirement is High School Diploma or G.E.D. Post-Secondary education would be an asset.
Must be able to be certified for fork lift driving. (Company certifies on-the-job).
Must be able to work both 12 hours shifts (6 am to 6 pm; 6 pm to 6 am)
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting operator to start up an extruder
Assisting with cleaning tasks during extruder change over
Loading and unloading trucks
Packaging work related to pack out stations, paper bag operations, box/sack filling.
Labeling, repackaging, sorting and recycling materials throughout the operations area.
General housekeeping and light maintenance.
Working under the direction of senior employees to move, weigh, mix, and stage materials.
Monitor process parameters, refill levels, as directed.
Working under the direction of senior operators, supporting line operating activities, by collecting samples and performing material analysis tasks (melt flow, filler, moisture checks).
