Job Description:
Quality Engineer must have general knowledge of metals manufacturing and machining processes in an ISO certified environment. Will support ISO 9001 processes and procedures, conduct quality audits, provide support to internal and external suppliers including the shop floor. Correct problems using root cause methodologies. Work with cross functional team to disposition defective material and product. Work with Microsoft office for spreadsheet & data base files.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents and reports.
Serve as a Quality Assurance resource for problem identification and resolution.
Participate in internal and external quality audits.
Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality assurance and assure that effective corrective action is implemented.
Serve as the Quality Assurance representative to the Materials Review Board (MRB).
Assist in maintaining the inspection tool calibration process

Job Requirements Minimum Critical Competencies
General knowledge of metals machining and manufacturing process.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and internal auditing to ISO 9001
Understanding and ability to accurately use mechanical inspection tools and geometric tolerancing
Understanding of root cause problem solving
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Strong computer skills including QA applications, word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
Additional experience a plus
Ability to review customers purchase orders, contracts and change requests and ensure that the necessary criteria and provisions are included in quality and process plans.
Ability to support Design Engineering efforts by participating in design and development projects representing Quality Assurance and the customer.
CMM Programming (PCDMIS)
PPAP and first article documentation experience
Non-destructive testing
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related field with a minimum of 1 year of experience or
Associate's degree in engineering or related field with 3 years of experience or
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field, manufacturing environment, or other relevant work experience.
Certified through ASQ preferred but is not necessary, Green Belt or related problem-solving experience a plus
Some travel may be required
