Leader, Home Delivery at RH

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Manage and assign specific responsibilities to the operations associates. This would include daily work assignments with the ability to follow-up and maintain performance of those individuals.

  • Manage site performance though Key Performance Indicators, training and development, on-the-spot coaching opportunities, reporting and analysis, and counseling to employees, as needed.

  • Manage daily delivery operations to include reports management, delivery completion, driver performance, inbound trailer scheduling and unloading, and customer order delivery completion to the standards of the company's delivery operational playbook.

  • Manage the receipt, prep, inspection, and delivery of the Home Delivery Location.

  • Responsible in maintaining a safe working environment for associates and delivery teams by enforcing safe/smart work practices.

  • Continuous interaction with our customers in a courteous and professional manner.

  • Monitor daily productivity and operating costs to minimize waste and increase operating efficiencies.

  • Manage by the guidelines of the delivery SOP and conduct on-the-spot delivery audits on a weekly basis.

  • Responsible for daily cycle counts and inventory accuracy of all product passing through location.

  • Professional development of subordinates to build internal lead and management candidates

  • Creative problem solving and innovative approaches to solve complex problems.

  • Perform in a manner consistent with company Vision, Mission Statement and Operating Principles

  • Any other duty as assigned as the Home delivery environment dictates.

REQUIREMENTS



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, or related field and/or relevant experience required.

  • Ideal candidate has 5+ years of Management in the Furniture Home Delivery/route delivery experience.

  • Ability to consistently lift/move furniture, bedding and accessories in excess of 100 pounds.

  • Excellent ability of oral, written and listening skills.

  • Transportation/Fleet Service Home Delivery Management, which includes employee relations, performance management, hiring, training, and coaching.

  • Ability to read maps/control global positioning systems and follow oral and written instructions.

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Process knowledge of business processes such as profit and loss, profit margins, accounting, and other related principles.

  • Must be able to work Weekends and evenings (Tuesday - Saturday) and Monday deliveries when notified by the Leadership.
