Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Lead Product Development Engineer to join the Kimberly-Clark Professional Global Product Development Team, focused on executing large scale innovation and renovation plans in the skincare category. Specifically, this person will work to provide a cadence of brand-led innovation and renovation product launches across the globe enabling Kimberly-Clark Professional to remain differentiated in the marketplace. This role will also devote time to business support and brand maintenance activities as directed by business needs.  The position will be located in Roswell and reports to the Global R&E Product Development leader.

The role is critical to maintaining our leadership position in the skincare categories. The incumbent will be a key contributor to executing on brand-led innovation, renovation, and business support plans, working cross-functionally to ensure products meet established brand standards and regulatory and quality guidelines. This position requires an individual who thrives in a global environment and brings forward subject matter knowledge in the soap and sanitizer categories. Responsibilities include:


  • Driving business support needs to enable regional quality and regulatory requirements


  • Partnering with Category & R&E program leaders to establish a cadence of product innovation


  • Working with regional teams to execute scalable renovations



  • Leading qualification or commercialization activities for identified solutions




The incumbent must be able to:


  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams such as quality, product safety, regulatory, manufacturing and life cycle maximization teams  


  • Plan and carry out project responsibilities with limited assistance and direction


  • Communicate and document project plans and results to key stakeholders


  • Develop robust timelines, budgets, and resource forecasts


Basic Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a related major scientific field or engineering discipline from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a variety of technical assignments Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects within required timeframes A track record of strong project leadership capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
Strong knowledge and background in chemical manufacturing processes is desired Strong knowledge and experience in formulation sciences is desired Demonstrated ability to solve business challenges Familiarity with product development processes (e.g. stage gate, rapid learning cycles)   Experience working cross-functionally with business unit marketing and manufacturing teams on a global basis is desired Understanding of Kimberly-Clark products, procedures, and processes.
