Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced technical leader to support the Kimberly-Clark Professional Global Product Development Team, focusing on product development within the skincare category. This role would report to the Central R&D Product Development Leader. Specifically, this person will support globally strategic projects as a subject matter expert, devote time to required business support and brand maintenance activities and work to develop key innovation projects as directed by the business needs.

This role is critical to maintaining our skincare business to fuel growth as well as building future improvements that ensure enduring competitive advantage.  The incumbent will lead ongoing globally scalable renovation projects for our largest markets, working cross-functionally to ensure products meet established brand standards, as well as maintain the existing product portfolio through rigorous adherence to quality and regulatory requirements. The ability to manage multiple projects and the flexibility to quickly change direction in response to changing customer or business priorities is crucial.  Responsibilities include:


  • Act as a subject matter expert for critical sourcing and strategy projects to drive alignment between the technical and business requirements


  • Champion process improvements that will lead to enhanced quality and cost structures for the overall health of the business


  • Lead approved projects/programs through execution/commercialization phases, delivering new asset capabilities, products and solutions with excellence


  • Assist in maintaining the global skincare portfolio and driving strategic decisions to meet global business plans/priorities


  • Mentor junior team members to help build the skincare talent pipeline


  • Manage cross-functional team activities (regulatory, marketing, product supply, sourcing and supply) to ensure market realization of targeted new product bundles and solutions


  • Partner with manufacturing team members to execute brand-led improvement plans


  • Drive qualifications with external manufacturing partners to deliver with excellence, leveraging subject matter expertise to develop and initiate appropriate processes and testing methods


  • Develop and deliver assignments against key milestones, budget, and resources forecasts either individually or leading a team.


  • Deliver a high level of customer communication and service, negotiating success to deliver results Champion a winning and innovative Sector culture.


Basic Qualifications:

A Bachelor's or advanced degree in related major scientific or engineering discipline from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 15 years of experience in a variety of technical assignments. Extensive Process and Technology Development experience with a focus on regulated industries Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects within required timeframes. Proven track record of leading teams across multiple projects, coaching, giving work direction, and stretching team members to higher levels of performance. Demonstrated ability to drive projects forward quickly and effectively, utilizing formal and informal influencing skills and leadership, strong collaboration, project management and communications skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated success in commercializing hand hygiene products across a range of use cases In depth understanding of hand hygiene manufacturing processes Broad understanding of the regulatory landscape for hand hygiene products to drive appropriate clearances Deep knowledge of the KCP hand hygiene portfolio to identify globally scalable opportunities Experience working cross-functionally with business unit, marketing and manufacturing teams on a global basis Ability to work independently, comfortable with fast-paced, unstructured environments.
