The Director of Infrastructure will report to the VP, Chief Technology Officer and will assume management responsibilities for I.T. Operations and Infrastructure. They will plan, manage and oversee design, development and implementation of systems hardware and software. This role will also be crucial in the development of goals, objectives, policies and priorities for implementation of appropriate information systems.

Manages the Information Technology Operations and Infrastructure job function for California Pizza Kitchen Inc. This includes:
Server Infrastructure
Network Infrastructure (voice & data)
I.T. Operations (corporate support center and company owned restaurants)
I.T. Help Desk
End User Computing
I.T. Security & PCI Compliance
Establishes and directs the strategic long term goals, policies and procedures for I.T. Operations and Infrastructure
Determines the company's long-term systems needs and hardware acquisitions to accomplish the company's business objectives.
Analyzes the needs of other departments and establishes priorities for feasibility studies, systems design and implementation to develop new and/or modify the company's information processing systems.
Manages a group of employees and outside vendors, contractors or consultants.
Recommends new, upgraded or modified systems hardware and software to meet operational needs.
Serves as Project Manager to implement new technology; sets project priorities.
Prepares and presents project progress reports.
Develops, tests and implements new systems.
Monitors project performance and compliance with applicable specs.
Ensures quality, timeliness and compliance with budget requirements.
Identifies and resolves system, hardware, software, database and connectivity issues.
Coordinates activities of external vendors and contracted services.
Education, Training, and Work Experience
Bachelor’s degree is required with at least 10 years of varied and progressive experience in IT Operations and Infrastructure including supervision of a small team.
Familiarity with procuring IT Hardware and Software, managing external vendors and developing annual budgets.
Working within a primarily Microsoft environment.
Knowledge of Restaurant systems is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Virtualization of I.T. Infrastructure (VMWare or Microsoft Hypervisor).
Knowledge of Cisco or Fortinet network hardware and configuration.
Migrations of MS Exchange to Microsoft 365.
Management of cloud infrastructure.
Relevant certifications include CISSP, CCNA and CCNP.
Knowledge of Payment Card Information (PCI) compliance standards and annual audit processes.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to computer terminals. The noise level and temperature is moderate. The employee has the ability to sit, stand and/or walk for up to 10 hours a day. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, bend or kneel, lift up to 40 lbs. and perform other diverse physical tasks as needed.
