Equinix Financial Reporting and Analysis (FP&A) is responsible for providing financial leadership to support decisions pertaining to the profitability and financial health of the company. FP&A is primarily responsible for forecasting, budgeting, reporting, analysis and business partnering. The group is designed to provide highly motivated and skilled individuals career development opportunities at a growing company.

You will support the Equinix strategy and valuation process to enable key decision-making. This role will work cross functionally with Tax, Treasury, Corporate Development, Sales and Marketing to model Equinix's long term financial plan. The FP&A Senior Analyst will be exposed to Equinix leadership and executives who are actively involved in setting and reviewing the strategy and financial projections for the company.

Responsibilities

Become the subject matter authority and key point of contact in FP&A for strategic planning, including the newly implement driver based long term model.

Coordinate annual initiatives and planning activities with key partners, including local finance teams, tax, treasury, sales, real estate and corporate development.

Run strategic scenario analysis for assessing potential impacts of key decisions, including financing options, acquisitions, new market potential, product, foreign exchange rates and others.

Lead activities to maintain and continually improve the newly implemented global model with key partners and IT.

Prepare strategic planning reports for key partners, executive management and the Board of Directors to help facilitate decision-making.

Be the subject matter authority and lead contact in the department for the REIT asset test.

Prepare Equinix's REIT asset test calculation on a quarterly basis, including valuing Equinix businesses using a discounted cash flow approach based on the long-term model.

Run REIT asset test scenario analysis to assess the impacts of key business decisions on Equinix REIT compliance, including financing options, acquisitions, new markets, new products, foreign exchange changes and others.

Prepare REIT asset test reports for the REIT Steering Committee and the Board of Directors to ensure Equinix maintains REIT compliance.

Prepare analysis and reports for company partners using financial and non-financial key performance indicators.

Regularly review the form and content of the information provided to management and strive to continuously improvement FP&A efficiency and effectiveness.

Actively reviews how we can improve speed and timeliness of FP&A activities, without compromising accuracy, by suggesting system enhancements and operational improvements.

Build relationships with other finance leads to increase overall finance organization efficiency.

Develop cross-functional partnerships with leaders across the business in order to understand opportunities and risks so that finance can better serve the organization financially.

Assist with special projects that support corporate, global and local finance initiatives.

Qualifications

3+ years experience in finance or related field preferred

Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting preferred

Master's degree (MBA) preferred

CPA/CFA certification preferred
