The Credentialing Specialist will work with the physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and physical therapists in order to get them credentialed at area hospitals, and as providers with various insurance companies. This includes completing, filing, and following up on applications; maintaining records of all providers' licensure and applicable requirements; and ensuring each provider's renewal is completed in a timely manner. In addition, the incumbent will monitor Sunshine Law adherence for physicians at Semmes Murphey.

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and one (1) year of medical credentialing experience, preferably with physician licensing and payer enrollment.
The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), various software programs, and internet applications. Organizational skills with attention to detail are required.
