Job Description:
Position Summary:
In this position as a mid-level developer the successful candidate will be able to work in complex software environments helping to conceptualize and validate technical integrations of OEM and data related aspects of systems development. Red River will be looking for this candidate to participate in offer development through the use of development methodologies, code, documentation, presentation, data modeling, systems integration and systems architecture. Solution offerings are expected to integrate across diverse technical subjects including: IoT, Analytics, AI concepts as well as general API based integrations. Solution offerings will be for cloud, on-premises and hybrid environments including AWS, Azure and Google in addition the candidate may need to integrate with SaaS offerings such as Splunk, ServiceNow, etc. The Candidate is expected to utilize DevOps software packages and processes as well as to provide recommendations to enhance current and future Red River offerings. The Candidate will work within Red Rivers state of the art lab environment where they will be working with current and cutting-edge products to produce high quality Red River solution offerings and perspective to Red River leadership.

  • IoT/endpoint device and system integration with data analytics
  • Office of the CTO assigned duties
  • Other business duties as assigned

Minimum Education/Certification/Experience Requirements:
  • BS - Computer Science
  • Any major cloud provider certification - AWS/Google/Azure preferred
  • 5 years development experience with one or more of the following:
    • .Net
    • Java
    • Python
    • C
  • Creativity, flexibility and flexibility in solution development is key.
  • Familiarity with database systems and tools
  • Familiarity with IoT/IIoT protocols and interface standards
  • Familiarity with Message Queuing Protocols and data interchange models
  • Familiarity with DevOps/DevSecOps approach and toolsets

Essential Elements:

This position requires the ability to continuously communicate with co-workers including executive staff, throughout the day utilizing Red River approved and/or provided communication tools and equipment.
  • This position requires the use of multiple development languages and SDK's/API's including: .Net, Java, Python, and C. The candidate will be required to learn other languages as required for solution development.
  • Ability to be creative and to perform well under pressure while working on multiple different offerings.
  • Self-starter who likes to tinker with devices and components and create combined and integrated data-driven solutions as well as work with device manufacturers to identify how to access, manage, and integrate those devices.

Special Requirements (travel):
  • Washington DC metro area; office located in Reston and Chantilly; flexible remote work schedule available
  • Travel - likely up to 25%, as needed
  • Subject to change as business requires
