Job Description:
Overview
As the Sr Jira System Administrator, you will be the technical owner of Jira. Jira is a core application used by IT and other teams. You will be responsible for ensuring that Jira is running and performing optimally at all times. You will be a key partner and SME working with the PMO and Business Applications team to align Jira to our SDLC and best practices for running Agile. You will also be working with various users of the system on front-end configurations and support.

Job Description
  • Working with PMO and Stakeholders as SME on Jira scalability, processes, best practices, and architecture
  • Configuring, maintaining, administering, and enhancing JIRA Cloud, Confluence, JIRA Service Desk, and key 3rd party add-ons
  • Helping guide the configuration and documentation of client JIRA and Confluence instances
  • Working with customers to enable custom workflows, fields, screens, dashboards, and reports
  • Creating and managing complex configuration elements including project workflows, screen schemes, permission scheme, and notification schemes
  • Installing and configuring 3rd party add-ons for Atlassian products to provide enhanced capabilities (e.g. Advanced Roadmaps, Structure, Tempo, Insight.)
  • Providing support as required to client administrators and users to ensure the success of implemented solution
  • Automating Jira-related processes

  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance in a dynamic, ever-changing environment
  • Ability to manage multiple customers at the client site (or remotely) and manage deliverables at any given time through effective time-management and planning
  • Good work ethic and the ability to work with diverse teams across different time zones
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and communication, both written and spoken
  • Responsive to internal and external requests

  • Skills :
  • At least 2+ years of experience with configuration and administration of Atlassian Products such as JIRA Cloud, Confluence, and key 3rd-party add-ons
  • Have conceptual and practical understanding of SDLC, ITIL, and Agile Frameworks
  • Education and Experience :
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or requisite experience in the related field
  • Jira: 4 years (Preferred)
  • Confluence: 4 years (Preferred)
  • Configuration and administration of Atlassian Products: 4 years (Preferred)
  • Scripting Jira customizations using Java, Groovy, and/or JavaScript (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of various Agile frameworks



Education: Bachelor's Degree
