Established and financially strong credit union is seeking a Mortgage Loan Servicing Specialist for their Glendale, CA office with the following:
GENERAL SUMMARY: Under direct to general supervision, performs all phases of residential loan servicing functions.
Processes demands and payoffs as they are received.
Posts payments and exception items.
Processes reconveyance of closed loans.
Responds to member inquiries or escalates to manager's attention as appropriate.
Researches and resolves member issues or disputes.
Tracks all final advance dates on HELOCs (Home Equity Lines of Credit) and completes file-maintenance in appropriate systems.
Provides notification to member of balloon payment due dates.
Monitors subordination processing and receipt of payment for subordination requests.
Provides Asset Management Department with figures for work-out and modification mortgage loans.
Updates the system with terms of Modification Agreement.
Pays semi-annual property taxes and monitors delinquent tax accounts on member loans.
Provides support to less-seasoned servicing staff with technical guidance and assists with more complex servicing issues.
Performs other duties as assigned, including handling of incoming department mail and supporting other areas of the department.
Complies with BSA requirements as commensurate with position.
High School Diploma or GED.
Requires a minimum of four years of experience in real estate or mortgage servicing to have the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to handle all aspects of the position.
Excellent member/customer service, communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent operation of standard office equipment and PC applications.
Detail-orientation, teamwork, time-management and math calculations.
Working knowledge of real estate loan terminology and documents.
General knowledge of credit union policies and procedures.
Proficient use of PC applications and related programs, including Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent.
