Summary/Objective: The Strategic Program Manager works under the direction of the VP of Business Process Improvement and Rogers Corporation PMO and will be assigned to manage an integration program consisting of a complex set of interrelated projects to achieve the overall strategic initiative of combining two Rogers Corporation business units. Future assignments may include programs in support of external mergers & acquisitions and manufacturing footprint optimization. The Strategic Program Manager will be assigned to very strategic projects within the company and be called upon to make presentations on status of the projects to the Executive leadership team.
Manage and oversee complex strategic level programs in support of M&A integrations in a manufacturing environment. Coordinate workstream activities in support of sales and operations integration, shared services functions integration, and brand alignment. Operations integration activities may include expansion of facility and operational capacity and other similar footprint related efforts.
Manage multiple projects concurrently. Develop work breakdown structure, timelines, budgets, resource plans for the program across the multiple projects. Track and report status of programs and projects, including projects post implementation for achievement of stated benefits, growth synergies and cost synergies. Manage program/project documentation and communication. Measure performance against key KPIs as well as program/project objectives.
Identify program risks and take preventive actions as necessary. Adapt to changes in program scope and timeline based on changing business environment and strategic direction by executive leadership. Escalate project issues where necessary and appropriate.
Manage inter-departmental cross functional teams to ensure program execution and success of projects. Lead and mentor teams working on all parts of the program. Provide assistance and guidance on project execution issues to project managers that are managing sub projects under the assigned overall program.
Collaborate with stakeholders (plant, customer, corporate, vendors) to establish project priorities, meet committed timelines and budgets, and provide progress reports of all projects and the program overall.
Assume financial responsibility for assigned projects including quotes, invoicing, creating and processing vendor POs and invoices, CAPEX management, and overall financial health and management of budgeted funds.
Ensure safety compliance, internal and external qualifications, and coordination of necessary work to obtain permits. Work to ensure factory acceptance test requirements and protocols.

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree & MBA or equivalent work experience
7-10 years of program/project management experience including large, complex, cross functional, and international projects
Experience working within a PMO framework
Experience in leading program management of successful M&A integration activities
Required Skills and Abilities:
Able to manage Program/Projects using defined management methodologies, tools, and governance
Experience managing large, complex and cross functional projects
Strong bias for action and commitment to meeting deliverables in tight timeframes
Able to provide support to project managers and projects
Process focused and able to influence without direct authority
Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, MS Project & Vision
Ability to explain solutions/trade-offs and the business impact to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
Experience presenting to executive level stakeholders

Demonstrated ability to build relationships and trust quickly to get buy-in from stakeholders and C-level executives

Preferred Education and Experience:
Experience in participating on and managing projects in a manufacturing environment preferred, e.g. plant expansions, equipment installation, process improvement
Experience managing capital projects of at least $1M budget preferred
