Position is responsible for developing new business primarily with prospects, as well as existing clients in the Cincinnati, Nashville and Indianapolis territories. Position is required to consistently meet balance, Treasury Services revenue, and profit budgets. Responsibilities include maintaining a high level of qualified in-person calling activity, completing responses to customer or prospect request for proposal and general sales activity, primarily for new prospective relationships. Position maintains senior level contact (Treasurer, CFO) with top and high priority customers. Develops territory plans, account strategies, and call plans required to consistently achieve revenue and profit goals. Coordinates calling activity with assigned Relationship Manager. Provides account reviews for assigned top priority customers. Participates in independent and/or joint calling with product partners. Assists in general marketing activity as required for trade shows and other targeted industry events.

Seasoned Commercial Construction Executive to be liaison between Commerce Bank and C-Suite executives in the Commercial Construction Industry. This individual will be the thought leader for our payments group to target and market the bank to the Commercial Construction Industry through a variety of resources currently available. This individual must be excited to accept the challenge of digitizing the Commercial Construction Industry physical check payments and be eager to jump into the fray.

This individual must be an accomplished speaker and communicator who will be the face of our commercial construction payments/banking and responsible for driving the banks' payments business through various types of thought leadership activities up to and including:

•Authoring and publishing industry white papers on driving efficiencies and customer experience and digitization of paper payments within the commercial construction industry through the banks digital social media platform

•Leading the charge with both national and regional conference presentations and panel discussion participation.

•Responsible for leading the banks' Construction Payments Solution products to targeted companies in designated sales territories. These companies will typically have no established relationship with the institution prior to contact.

•Creating an FAQ on the commercial construction industry

•Creating an overcoming objections checklist for our existing Account Executive team

•Building out our digital marketing blueprint for the commercial construction market

•Visioning and blueprinting our Commercial Construction Solutions needs

•SME to assist our existing Account Executives on both direct and indirect client sales calls and sales efforts

•Lead and moderate monthly commercial construction call to include Account Executives and various other areas of the bank to educate, overcome objections and highlight positive activity and milestones achieved by various participants in regards to our Commercial Construction Activity

•Advise and assist Senior Leadership on various business development goals within the commercial construction payments arena

•Travel to various domestic geographic areas on a regular and routine basis in order to assist all efforts to build Commercial Construction business and footprint

•Assist and advise the following areas of the bank in commercial construction endeavors:
•Marketing
•Product and development teams
•Credit team responsible for lending to the commercial construction industry
•Treasury team
•Commercial lending team
•Capital Markets
•Capital for Business
•Corporate Trust
•Merchant Acquiring

• Qualifying executive positions within a major contracting organization include (Senior Business Development, Operations Manager, Chief Financial Officer, Project Executive)

• Working knowledge of typical work flow and practices of the contracting industry across multiple disciplines to include.. (Owner-Builder, Developer-Builder, Engineer Procure Construct, Design Build, Construction Management, General Contractor and Specialty Contactor/Sub Contractors)

• Strong understanding of contracting business processes and concepts that result in payments to and from the contracting organization's clients, employee's, suppliers, service providers and sub-contracting entities

• Executive level network of contacts and acquaintances within the contracting sector

• Extended network within the executive contracting sector through professional associations to include one or more.
(ABC,AGC, CFMA, CMAA, AIC, ASA NIBS, ASHRAE,NUCA, NECA)

• Possess Working knowledge of the construction sector marketplace across multiple disciplines and geographic regions

• demonstrate knowledge and skill set to act as the construction sector market leader to include providing actionable details to the marketing team including identifying the decision making stakeholders and developing the appropriate sales strategies and approach

•Possess working knowledge of main Commercial Construction ERP systems and understand how the banks Payment Systems can interface with the ERP systems through file transfers, API's etc…

•Knowledge of Construction bonding process
•Excellent oral and written presentation skills
•Strong organizational, follow-up, interpersonal, telephone and PC skills (Microsoft Office - Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
•Must have experience working with C-level decision makers and negotiating pricing/contracts
•Detail oriented and can incorporate complex program and technical implementations

•Experienced in "solution selling" - having the ability to work with clients by identifying company goals/initiatives and move the sale through the sales cycle to close

•Identify and sell additional users and functions of the Commercial Card products
•Working knowledge of Salesforce.com
•High degree of comfortability with social media including Linked in
•Frequent travel and entertaining required with overnight trips to markets, conferences and for training purposes
•Home based office

Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
Additional education equates to work experience: 5+ years of Business Development or related experience within Treasury Services. Proven successful track record within team selling and lead sharing environments.
