BioMerieux has a position open for a Regional Business Manager to join our clinical sales team based in Minnesota, MN metro area.

The Regional Business Manager is responsible for the field management of the Microbiology & Immunoassay sales team within an assigned geographical area, through the maintenance of base business, the growth of new business and new product penetration. Success is achieved through the coaching and development of local team personnel to exceed annual revenue targets, profits and strategic objectives for the company's products and services. The RBM will communicate regularly with his / her Management and Senior management Team regarding the activities and opportunities across all product lines within the assigned Region.

Main Accountabilities:
  • Directs, manages, and coaches the tactical activities of the sales representatives within their geographical region
  • Assures that the local sales team is highly effective and properly trained and that sales coverage is adequate to aggressively pursue business objectives
  • Facilitate the management of key business and customer relationships, with the ability to negotiate potential new business opportunities for the company, which are consistent with our short and long term objectives.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key customers at all levels and possess local key market knowledge across the organization and within the
    assigned business region
  • Generate an accurate monthly and quarterly instrument and reagent forecast based on current run rates, new capital and an assessment of won/lost business
  • Provide an annual performance review and a developmental plan for each direct report, to include written PMP goals with quarterly reviews
  • Communicate to the Area Director, corporate personnel and senior management regarding essential activities and business opportunities with the
    assigned geographical district appropriate for achieving regional and national objectives.


Qualifications:
  • BA or BS degree in Business, Technical, or Science discipline. MBA preferred.
  • A proven track record of management of a sales team and/or 5 or more years related sales experience with exceptional sales record
  • Understanding of customers' business that results in win-win solutions
  • Demonstrated leadership, negotiation, motivation and persuasive skills
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain excellent relationship with customers at all levels of the organization
  • Takes ownership of and responsibility district geographical account base
  • Demonstrates ability to recruit, hire, and retain talent
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, direct, coach and train employees
  • Responsible for making both difficult business and people decisions
  • An ability to lead and influence people utilizing strategic thinking and coaching skills
  • Conducts business with integrity and ethics operating within the approved company Code of Conduct
  • Demonstrated experience and skills of using an enterprise CRM ( Customer Relationship Management) system to manage the business.
