Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

This job is responsible for the accurate and timely performance of echocardiographic diagnostic testing in an appropriate manner so that the Cardiorespiratory department consistently provides a high quality of patient care. Ability to operate all diagnostic equipment required and recognizes variations of the normal and pathologic patterns on the echocardiographic tracings.

QUALIFICATIONS

Per Diem 4 Hours/Week Days

1. EDUCATION: Graduate of an AMA approved School of Echocardiograpy/ Ultrasound Technology.

2. EXPERIENCE : At least 6 months experience under the direction of an experienced technician or cardiologist in a hospital or physician s office. Basic Cardiac Life Support CPR certified. ARDMS registry or registry eligible.

3. LICENSURE,CERTIFICATION & REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS: ARDMS Registry or eligible.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
