Job Description


  • Develops, manages and executes, in conjunction with Government Affairs leadership, strategies associated with the organization's federal, state and/or local governmental matters, including regulatory compliance objectives.

  • Develops, in conjunction with the Government Affairs leadership, legislative and communications strategies to advocate policy goals before federal, state and/or local governments.

  • Analyzes legislative and regulatory activities. Determines the potential impact on the organization and develops and directs company positions. Builds coalitions and engages enterprise managers and senior leaders as necessary.

  • Develops relationships with governmental entities, professional associations, academic institutions and personnel to advance the interests of the corporation and the industry.

  • Represents the company with government entities; provides management with reports and recommendations.

Work Experience


Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree. Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable. Industry experience is typically 8+ years. At least 5 years of prior management experience is typically required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
