Senior Unity Developer A. Harold and Associates, LLC is seeking qualified candidates for a position as a Senior Unity Developer on a team developing instructor-led training and interactive courseware. The Senior Unity Developer is a core member of an Interactive Courseware (ICW)/Instructor-Led Training (ILT) courseware development team, working directly with Instructional System Designers, Computer-Based Training Specialists (CBTS), and Subject Matter Experts (SME) to assist in the design and development of instructionally sound training solutions. The Senior Unity Developer is responsible for taking early stage concepts and transforming them into outstanding immersive experiences. Our ideal candidate is highly experienced with Unity/C# and can utilize their skillsets to identify and implement featuresinteractions, environments, and adding the sense of surprise and decision making which are essential to enhancing the authenticity and sense of presence to our users. This is a full-time position located in Jacksonville, Florida. Required Experience/Education:

  • 3+ years' software / mobile app experience as a software developer
  • Exceptional knowledge of Unity (developing in C#)
  • Experience developing games or training in Unity
  • Unity optimization expertise for lower powered devices (desktops, laptops, older phones etc.)
  • Creative problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively between clients, developers, artists, and stakeholders
  • Ability to plan projects from a technical standpoint, identifying and designing development tasks based on client specifications
  • Ability to use git source control for branching and source control.
  • Familiarity with git processes and commands is a must
Preferred Experience/Education:
  • Unity 3D experience
  • Application architecture and design patterns
  • Experience serving as technical lead throughout the full software development lifecycle, from conception, architecture definition, detailed design, scoping, planning, implementation, testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance is preferred
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • iOS/Android App Development experience
  • Experience with web technologies
  • Game development and design experience
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort working in a collaborative environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A broad understanding, comfort, and enthusiasm for technology and the ability to quickly and proactively learn new technologies, techniques, and tools
