A.Harod & Associates

Instructional Systems Designer A. Harold and Associates, LLC is seeking an Instructional Systems Designer (ISD). The ISD will work with Subject Matter Experts (SME), Multimedia Specialists (MMS), Computer-Based Training Specialists (CBTS), Videographers, and other ISDs to analyze existing training documentation, design and develop new Navy ILT and ICW training courses, and support a Train the Trainer event. Experience with US Navy training standards and Instructional Systems Design processes for detailed instructional development effort is preferred. This is a full-time position with opportunities in Jacksonville, FL and Milton, FL.
Specific Duties/Job requirements

  • Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts and ISDs to conduct information gathering from formal instructional training documents and USG technical publications
  • Design lesson outlines and draft materials including Script Storyboards and On-Screen Lessons
  • Review training materials for instructional soundness
  • Evaluate and analyze learning objectives and assessments
  • Provide guidance to videographers and photographers to support the recording of task performance
  • 10%-25% travel
  • Other assigned tasks
Required Experience/Education
  • Degree in Instructional Systems or related field
  • Foundational knowledge of learning theory and systems thinking
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment in a detailed instructional analysis effort
  • Experience analyzing existing training documentation in support of large training programs
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel)
  • Organized and concise
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Concise communication, able to adapt to customer need
  • Exceptional written/grammar skills
  • Able to quickly adapt to process changes
Preferred Experience
  • A working knowledge of current US Navy training formal documentation
  • Proficiency in Adobe Captivate
