Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) AHA is seeking an Instructional Systems Designer (ISD). The position provides Instructional Systems Design (ISD), curriculum development, and life cycle support for the Center for Information Warfare Training (CIWT) Electronic Warfare Officer course at IWTC Virginia Beach, VA. Experience with USN training standards and Instructional Systems Design process and/or prior experience on a Department of Defense (DOD) contractor courseware development team is preferred. This is a Virginia Beach, VA opportunity that requires full-time in office support, and a current SECRET security clearance. Specific Duties/Job Requirements:
Experience utilizing Instructional Media Design Packages (IMDP), Course Training Task List (CTTL) and Training Course Control Documents (TCCD)
Experience developing Training Task Analysis, Detailed Curriculum Development Outline and Logic Flow Diagrams
Experience developing updating, and revising test questions, banks, and progress checks, Course Schedules, Instructor Guides, and Student Guides
Participate in Integrated Process Teams (IPTs), Integrated Process Reviews (IPRs), and various meetings and working groups
Design and development of script storyboards
Selection of instructional media, materials, and equipment to meet learning objectives
Design and development of instructor-led training, interactive courseware, and supporting documents
Development and application of appropriate standards and specifications for courseware development (e.g. style guide)
Familiarity with the U.S. Navy Electronic Warfare (EW) Officer course desired, but not required
Ability to work independently

Completion of a course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree that included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester hours of appropriate course work in at least four of the five following areas:
Learning theory, psychology of learning, educational psychology – study of learning theories as they relate to the systematic design, development, and validation of instructional material
Instructional design practices – study of the principles and techniques used in designing training programs, developing design strategy and models, and applying design methods to the improvement of instructional effectiveness
Educational evaluation – study of the techniques for evaluating the effectiveness of instructional/educational programs, including developing written and performance tests and survey instruments, and determining reliability and validity of evaluation instruments
Instruction product development – study of the techniques appropriate for developing training materials, including identifying learner characteristics, specifying objectives, applying training strategy, validating training materials, and evaluating training
Computers in education and training – study of the application of computers in education and training, including selecting appropriate computer software
At least three (3) years' experience designing and developing adult technical training.
AIMII and CPM/LOM
Instructor Led Training (ILT) development experience
Interactive Courseware (ICW) development experience
Previous experience on a USN multi-media curriculum design and development, Authorizing Instructional Materials (AIM) Content Planning Module (CPM) / Learning Objective Module (LOM) system.
Experience using MS Office Suite, including MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
