RESPONSIBILITIES

NCI: As the Enterprise IT as a Service (EITaaS) Dtabase Manager / Programmer SQL you will support the future of the Army s enterprise IT services. As the Army drives towards its 2028 Modernization Strategy and postures to the era of great power competition put forth in the National Defense Strategy, we must operate and defend our networks ruthlessly. The Army s communications network is the foundational weapons platform for the entire force. All Army operations depend on timely, reliable delivery and transmission of data. The Army is moving towards rapid and reliable Army Enterprise support and offerings. EITaaS is commercial delivery and management of protected IT services from the enterprise to the point of need (user) on the Department of Defense Information Network-Army (DODIN-A). Provides connect, protect, storage, computing, common IT services, hardware, software, and networking infrastructure.

The purpose of implementing IT Service Management (ITSM) into the EITaaS Project is to plan, build, and operate services in alignment with the strategic direction set by EITaaS governance to achieve the EITaaS objectives while mitigating risk. The intent of the EITaaS ITSM Program is to produce IT value for the Army, align IT resources, achieve Service Level Agreements, increase service provider productivity, enable rapid service scalability, and establish and maintain IT cost accounting and recovery to control IT costs scalable across all EITaaS installations.

Database Manager / Programmer SQL

Design the Toolset for Integrated Service Management (TISM) database, user application and reports using Visual Studio Enterprise in an AWS platform environment. Ensure they are stable, reliable, and performing. Writes and optimizes in-application SQL statements. Ensures performance, security, and availability of database and tables. Prepares documentation and specifications. Handles common database procedures such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc. Profiles server, resource usage, optimize and tweak, as necessary. Collaborates with other team members and stakeholders to identify database and application requirements. Ensures the required system application components are current and properly configured. Oversees the application security and responsible to assist with system upgrades. Defines and coordinates the execution of testing procedures and develop test cases to serve the overall quality assurance process prior to an application go live and upgrades.

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

* Clearance: Standard Background check

* Computing Environment Certification: MCSA SQL 2016, MCSD App Builder and DevOps Foundation (DOFD) or equivalent

* Education: BA 6 - 9 years experience

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

* ITIL Foundation or equivalent

* DevOps Leader (DOL) certification

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:

* Travel by land or air transportation 25%
